JHKA 4th Junior Championships 2022

JHKA 4th Junior Championships 2022

An absolutely brilliant day at JHKA’s 4th Junior Championships! 🏆

Saturday 19th November 2022

We certainly have some new and talented students coming through and we have selected some of them to start training monthly with our young squad.

I would firstly like to thank all of the Sensei’s and students that helped make this competition a success. For the first time ever, we ran earlier than scheduled and the organisation was brilliant. Thank you to Shihan Anthoni Everitt, Sensei Hayley, Sensei Lisa, Sensei Julian, Silina, Jesse, Kayleigh, Christine, Dennis, Kai, Rhea and Zane for your amazing support.

The JHKA 4th Junior Championships provides a stage for our students to come out of their comfort zone and perform in front of an audience. Whether a beginner or an experienced competitor, it takes great courage to step onto the tatami alone. All of our students stepped up and performed under pressure which is fantastic for their development and confidence!

A very well done to our higher grades, you were a fantastic example to our club. You all performed with your game faces on, everybody’s attitude was phenomenal.

A huge congratulations to H. Morgan and A. Emambacus, both started training at Kata Preparation this year and both won gold in Kata. Very proud of these results.

A special mention to our first timers who won medals and stole the show on the day! J. Avanzi (Chingford Dojo), L. Whitehorn (Enfield Dojo), B. Izbase (Collier Row Dojo) and our new Champion D. Mahu (Collier Row Dojo)!

The trophies were the biggest and best yet, well done to all GOLD Medallist and Trophy winners.

To all those that didn’t win a medal this time, well done for taking part and the experience gained will guide you to your next victory! Winning and loosing on the day did not matter, simply taking part made you all a winner on Saturday🥇
